Live Cooking Session with BMW Gallops Autohaus

Live Cooking Session with BMW Gallops Autohaus

Conversations

We did a pretty fun live cooking session in collaboration with BMW Gallops Autohaus this evening – and we made three dishes in 35 minutes – and my cinematographer – my dad – was mighty impressed! He said so, in a few words, in between mouthfuls of the below dishes!

All three Asian-inspired dishes are pretty healthy, eggless and mostly dairy-free. I am using fresh seasonal produce, that are mostly available during this lockdown period and oantry goods! The Asian Salad is really a basic recipe that you can build up on depending on what you have on hand. The Coconut Broth Ramen is a make-shift version with no ready fancy pastes – simple leeli cha (does anyone know what to call it in Hindi?!?!) or Indian lemongrass from my garden and coriander stalks. I make a garni-bouquet with it, not just to be fancy, but it’s rather quite practical! Again, this too is versatile depending on what you have in the fridge. I served this up with a pack of instant noodles – because it does take 2 minutes to cook, when you pour the broth over – and let’s be real, most of y’all open two packets of masala for one pack of noodles, so you got some extra! We ended with a Mango + Ginger skinny cheesecake, sort of deconstructed – because it is mango season!

The recipes are tried and tested, some are adapted from various places, and a few are passed down; but every one of them comes straight from the heart.
