This bright red smoothie is as appealing to the eye as it is to the soul. The acai berry powder is an amazing ingredient that I’ve been incorporating into my diet for the past six months. The energy booster and natural antioxidant does wonders and keeps you alive and kicking for the entire day when you start with Acai Berry Bowl.

This is an alternate option to start the day with, or even as a mid morning booster to replace that third cup of coffee (I am that bad!).

The components can be made in advance and kept in the fridge and brought together just before ready to consume.

I buy organic acai berry powder from Sattvic Foods, which also has so many other amazing antioxidants such as my favourites – bee pollen and gluten free rolled oats.

Place all the ingredients together in a smoothie maker or crusher and blitz to make your smoothie.
